Derek Sanford is the videographer, editor and owner behind Captured Minds Entertainment. Based out of the Daytona Beach area, he founded Captured Minds Entertainment in 2001 to finally provide an affordable solution for any digital video need and to give a more youthful approach to video production.
Recognizing the need for innovative digital video, he set out to do something different... create a product that actually doesn't look amateur and boring. His background as a videographer and editor in the digital video industry allows him to create videos that are stylish, yet still timeless and real.
As a videographer/editor for popular local television shows and completing classes for Digital Video/TV Communications from Daytona State College, Derek integrates his love for videography and his creative techniques into his videos, which give them their unique style. With 11 + years of experience in shooting and editing digital video and 6 + years of formal education, Derek has done work for some of the top companies in the country which include: ESPN2, PBS, Mentor Films, TurnHere Internet Video, Modern Media, Orlando Advertising Inc., Kavich & Reynolds Productions and Car People Marketing, Inc. He has also produced a national promotional video for a Fortune 500 Company.
